B-Planto Plantain Pancakes


  • 1 cup plantain flour

  • 1.5 tsp baking soda

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

  • 2 Large Eggs, beaten

  • 3/4 cup Buttermilk (Regular milk can be used)

  • 1.5 tsp Vanilla Extract

  • Olive Oil (Use Coconut Oil if Mild Coconut flavor is desired)


  1. Sift the Plantain flour, Baking Soda, and Sea Salt in to a large mixing bowl.

  2. Stir in Milk, Eggs and Vanilla Extract. Mix well until the batter is smooth and fully incorporated.

  3. Heat Oil in a skillet over medium/medium-high heat.

  4. Using a large serving spoon, pour the batter into the pain making 4 inch diameter circles.

  5. Once you start seeing bubbles come up toward the center of the pancake, flip. Cook on each side for roughly 2-3 minutes.
